Call for papers – December 2020

The Sinological Development Charitable Foundation (SDCF) aims to further worldwide awareness and knowledge of Chinese culture and civilization and to enhance the role of Greater China as a major platform for the global promotion of Sinology. It was founded in 2013 by Dr. Elizabeth Woo Li. Since 2016 Dr. Woo Li has organized a yearly Summer Program.

Celebrating the conclusion of our fifth program, we are preparing a collective volume to be published in 2021. For that reason, we are calling for all past participants to present improved versions of the papers presented at the end of any of the Summer Programs on any topic in Chinese Philosophy, according to the following schedule:

1)    Interested participants may send an abstract of their paper (maximum 500 words, without bibliography) and 4 keywords by December 3, 2020.

2)    Abstracts will be evaluated, and participants whose proposals are approved will be notified. Successful applicants should submit final versions of their papers by February 5th. The papers must be between 6000 and 10,000 words (including bibliography and footnotes), and should follow the conventions of the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style, 7th Edition. All works should have a 100-word abstract, with a list of 5 keywords. Each person can send just one paper. Papers will be submitted to peer-review before being accepted for publication.

All submissions that do not follow the format required will be automatically rejected. The editors may request changes in content and style by author/s before publication. Please send all abstracts to the following e-mail: federico.mina@sinological.org before the submission due date.
